It's my last day before going back to school, so Jonas called in sick and we're having a lazy rubber day. So while browsing the net I found this awesome video by Kink Engineering of their super awesome vacbeds, and I thought it was too cute not to share.
I just about posted this picture the other night, and boy and I glad I didn't. Cause not I can share it with you and say proudly that it got a DD on Deviantart. ^_^
I'm not naturally submissive but I love *love love!* my hood and the look of it is rather submissive, so while we were shooting I tried to take on the demeanor of a sub as much as I could, and remarkably it came across! So far everyone has commented about the eyes and the lighting. It makes me a very happy model when people can see exactly the sentiment I put into a shot, no matter how subtle.
The DD was given to Aarons page, but I'm tickled pink either way. tehe!
Camera: Mamiya RB67 + Polaroid back
Film: Fuji FP-100C

The bbq was Saturday night and it was a great time. We had an assortment of all ages and walks of life, and most everyone was dressed in gorgeous rubber outfits! The food was good, and the drinks were flowing all night. Most people cleared out at a reasonable time but there were a few of us up till about 5am, I believe. And the details of those hours are top secret. ^_^
I'm not sure what time in the evening the picture below was taken but I wasn't so fond of the flash and there were only a few scattered shots taken all night. I'm wearing my trans catsuit and a new double breasted raincoat. Hopefully I can take some better shots in these items when there's slightly less vodka in my system.
Another Canadian brick and mortar fetish shops is closing it's doors. This time it's the FéticheStore in Montreal. Which if you've ever been to the Montreal Fetish Weekend, it's possible you've shopped there. It's sad to see another shop close it's doors, and particularly in what seems to be the fetish capital of Canada. The online forums make it very clear that the people running the shop were wonderful people and were influential in the montreal latex scene.
If you're in the Montreal area, stop by and take a look at their clearance items and for the rest of us I'll keep my eyes open to see if they start listing things online. It's unfortunate to see a store close, but the silver lining is that it's a great time to get some lovely gear at cost.
One of the projects I've been working at pulling together is a latex get together for many of the rubberists who may or may not participate in the online communities. I've touched based with a few other prominent locals and their friends, but I would also like to open the invitation to any genuine rubberists who may read this (provided you're not to far from Calgary).
Click the invite to see it larger.
Shucks it's been nearly 3 weeks since I've updated this thing. Sowwie! I will admit I've enjoyed being 'unplugged' from the net for a while. :)
Vancouver happened and it was great. It had started out as a bit of a trip involving meeting up with people and scheduling shoots, but I realized I'm exhausted with that mentality and moved dates to better fit our schedule and scaled it back a bit which allowed me to not even think about picking up jobs while I was there. So instead it was a great couple day get away with my mister sans child, full of lounging on the beach enjoying cocktails while dressed in latex.. Sounds pretty awesome eh?
Since then I've been doing boring house things and hanging out with friends. Everything seems to slow down in productivity once July hits. The Calgary Stampede is looming, and I'm tempted to hide under a rock till it passes, unfortunately that wont be the case. There are things I've been working on pulling together that happen to coincide with the Stampede.
Here's a picture of me in a hood we bought on our trip to Vancouver a couple weeks ago.
A few days ago, my favorite translucent *brand new* catsuit ripped along a seam. I was heartbroken.
We'd waited 10 weeks for our Libidex order to be completed and mailed to us, for us to enjoy for only a matter of weeks. I've had a number of catsuits over the years and this one has been by far my favorite.
We ordered a catsuit for Jonas, and two for me [translucent & black]. And a few weeks ago we placed a second order for matching hoods for the trans & black catsuits along with a new corset for me... all working towards this great vision of an outfit I had in my head. So needless to say to have the main piece in that vision rip was devastating.
And I'm not talking about a 'opps I put my finger through' or 'shit I nicked it with a finger nail' ... this was as I was already dressed with an over abundance of lube & not doing anything stressful on it and it just zipped open. I'm not going to even guess at which corner it started at, but both ends are at corners where two seams meet....
Luckily I talked to Libidex and I'll be sending the catsuit back to them for them to analyze what happened and see what can be done.
BTW the pictures color may look odd, I had to edit them to show the detail in the rip.
And the saddest part is that i haven't even used it for a shoot yet! I had great plans for this sweet sweet piece in the next few weeks and sadly now I wont have it for my trip to Montreal. Hopefully I'll have it back with me in a month.. or two. *tear*
I don't think I posted these shots here when I first got the catsuit, so here are some of the shots from when I first got my trans catsuit. You know you're pretty addicted to the stuff when you mourn the loss of a garment. FUCK.
I've been sick and pretty much bed ridden for the last few days. So while I've been high on Buckleys I found some fun little latex based tid bits I thought I'd pass on. I am feeling better, but doubt I'll be up to too much this weekend.
An awesome interview about latex making the cross over to fashion and real life.

And
Alternative uses for Silicone Oil (latex friendly lube)
It can clear up certain stains on fabric.
Makes the colour pop on tattoos.
Fixes squeaky hinges.
It protects plastics and vinyl.
Food photography - uses silicone spray to give a luscious lustre to food on a plate.
Sewing machinists frequently lubricate their machines and tables with it.
It's great for lubing up bike chains.
It's gentle on skin and can be used as a shaving oil.
When used on a snowboard top side it stops the snow sticking to it.
It is however not good for Electronics. Specifically Blackberry tracker balls. And sync ports on iPhones.
An opportunity has presented itself and it looks like I'll be visiting Montreal mid march. I still need to iron out a few details but I've wanted to go for so long that I'm pretty sure it's a go!
I'm going to be looking for people to shoot with while I'm there and I'm all ears as to where the best food is in town and where are the must see sights.
If you want to book me for my trip the best way to get a hold of me is either through modelmayhem or my email aenux.model@gmail.com

Tomorrow is a ModelRepublic meet up at UrbanPhotographers house. I'm tentatively planning on going, but it'll all depend on how the weekend goes. There'll be a good crowd and I'm interested in seeing who all shows up other than the usual suspects.

This weekend I'm planning on doing some candid videos of me dressing/playing in latex. I'm hoping to do some latex in public and some smoking videos as well if we get time. I've been looking into a site called clips4sale and might post the full videos on there and teasers on youtube. I'm still in the preliminary stages of the idea and I'm hesitant cause our camera isn't in HD, but I'm sure it'll look alright. I've been really inspired lately to do video work as I seem to have hit a road block on visualizing for shoots.
I'm not looking to get into the adult industry, just some of the niche fetish markets.
Sorry for the silence lately. I've been lost in a fairly selfish world lately. Things like household administration duties and caring for my sickly sister have been high on my priority list while the interwebs ranked fairly low. Imagine that!
In less boring news.. My order of lube arrived from TheChemistryStore.com. We ordered Silicone Oil which can be used in place of sex store brand lube, particularly for latex use. I got sick of buying an 8oz bottle for 45$ and trying to lube up 2 catsuits with any regularity without breaking the bank. So I'm quite content with the 2 gallons of lube we ordered.
.... <3We filled up that little lube bottle with the 1000cst and it didn't even make a dent in the bottle. *squeal* So I'm officially good for lube for the next while... I'd always been hesitant to order these from the states, cause I despise broker fees and hate shipping express (no broker fee when you ship express but express is way more $)... But I digress. We ordered two of the one gallon jugs. 1 - 350cst which is food grade/consistency & 1 - 1000cst which is super thick and very slow. They're both exceptional, but the 1000cst will be ideal for when we actually get around to buying some latex bedding.
Today on the radio where my lover works one of the workers was blasting AM770 CHQR and they were talking about the Canadian Politician John Baird who was recently outed.
The radio show was essentially right wing conservatives ripping him to shreds for being conservative and gay. Most of the callers were of the opinion that 'they deserved to know about his sexual persuasion.
But.. that's only indirectly the point of my post.
There was a caller, who likened Baird being gay too having a latex fetish. My mister didn't didn't catch it word for word cause it was across the shop, but the idea of it was 'if instead of being gay, what if this politician had a latex fetish? Would that be as big of an issue?' and the radio host fumbled a bit in saying 'well I don't know'. But the point was 'at what point do we draw the line?' and it was really well received from what he could tell. Because really it's no ones business to know if an individual likes to get dressed in a particular material that they enjoy.
It's obvious this caller knew a certain amount about fetish and latex. They knew not to liken it to bdsm or going to a dominatrix... Cause as history has shown us, the masses seem to react when another person is involved in sex acts like bdsm, homosexual, hookers, cheating, etc. But often times, something like latex fetish or nylon/retro style fetishes aren't seen as .as. taboo of perversions to be into. Really does the fact that the over weight secretary at your work likes to wear girdles and seemed stockings when she goes home... how does that interfere with her secretarial duties in the daylight hours?
I'm trying to find an audio clip from the show, but I'm on a mac and the website with the audio vaults don't work for me. Windows media player doesn't work with mac firefox and flip4mac is giving me issues.
I would love to hear what the caller said word for word, cause I hate passing along speculation. If someone feels particularly inclined to listen to the show and find the clip of the deep voiced man you likens it to latex I'll love you forever and ever...
The show was on around 2:00ish.
Or comment and lets chat about it?
Tonight as I was getting dressed up in rubber, I lost a favorite piece of my naughty closet.. My favorite baggy man tshirt which paired oh so well with my favorite stockings. It just fell apart in my hands! Totally ripped in half. Which while it's uncommon to have latex rip like that considering the age of this particular piece I should of expected it. We got this shirt from B&D nearly 5 years ago, and it was already in the store before Jonas started working there which was about 5 years... So while we don't know the exact age cause it could likely of been in the store for far longer I estimate it being atleast 10 years old, quite likely older.
I added a few pictures of me that I took on my computer for fun one night cause I particularly liked how it looked with just nylons. :)
Most of this post was stolen from 3xl's blog.
Latex is such a pricey commodity but for those of us with fetishes it it's very much worth it! Many people I know in real life have mentioned interest in latex but are cautious with committing to buying any because of such expensive prices.
So for those of you who don't follow the latex enthusiast blogs as religiously as I do - I thought I'd pass along the news, because these sales really are few and far between.

Black Friday, for those of you not living in the US, is normally the craziest shopping day of the year, the day after Thanksgiving. Thousands of bargain hunters will line up outside a store ready to stampede (sometimes literally!) into the shop to take advantage of the special post-Thanksgiving sales.
Latex bargain hunters won’t have to risk stampedes to take advantage of such sales, however, because more and more latex retailers are throwing Black Friday or Cyber Monday (the Monday after Thanksgiving) online sales!
House of Bias is taking off a whopping 35% of all orders Friday only. Check out the site to make your selections, but be sure to use the code code “BLACKFRIDAY” when checking out.
Latexa Fashion will also be offering online deals on Black Friday. Take 20% off all online orders up to 5,000.00 kroner placed Friday November 27, and 30% off all orders over 5,000.00 kroner! Sale prices good only on online orders.
With deals like these, it’s silly not to stock up on your fetish needs!

Christmas sales mentioned earlier this week
Westward Bound is having a X-mas sale offering an additional 10% on your order this Christmas, if you quote “XMAS10“. This discount voucher applies to their entire range and expires Thursday 31st December 2009. To ensure that you get the perfect gift for your loved one, order from stock today and save an additional 10%!

And finally Libidex's 30% catsuit sale is ongoing for another week or two. Prices are already adjusted on their site.
I recommend getting any and all orders in ASAP if you hope to have them arrive before the holidays. Many of the designers make each piece as they are ordered and do not carry stock! Also many of the designers are based internationally, so be prepared that it may take 6-8wks in a worst case scenario to arrive. But that's the (only) unfortunate side to these massive sales.
Edited to add that : Yes! I will accept rubber presents as bribes to shoot.
Photos were taken directly from the designers site. Rights belong to the designers & the shots respective photograpers. Only used to promote the latex stores.
I've had this rubber dress for nearly a year now and I have been waiting to shoot it but nothing has come up. Well, not entirely true; I ordered it for my trip to Detroit Exotica last fall and had intended to wear it with either Perry Gallgher or Dan Lippit (who both rock.) But by the time it arrived I'd already finished up all my shoots for the few days and was in relax mode, so I partied in it but that was about all.
So when Jason asked me to help pull the poster shoot together for his Kinksters masquerade ball, I knew it would be the perfect time to bring it out of hiding. It's a fabulous piece by House of Bias that I scouped up during a sample sale. I really don't know what I'd do to cater to my latex addiction if there weren't things like sample sales.
The event poster was a big of a gong show behind the scenes in the days prior, just getting people who could actually commit to the shoot was rather bothersome. But! In the end it all worked out just fine and an old friend of a friend Amber stepped in to be the bottoming sub. Anyways, these pictures are more just out of the kindness of Colins heart, and we're still norrowing down which two shots should be used for the posters.
On day two of my Los Angeles trip I had an afternoon shoot scheduled with the lovely Renee Jacobs! Check out her website! So I had quite a lazy morning eating english muffins and chatting with Perry. Renee showed up around 1ish and we proceeded to tear Perrys place apart! (and it was such fun!) We shot in the bedroom and in the bathroom. We did some motion nudes, as it's part of a series she was working on (that I'm totally excited to be part of) and we also shot some of my latex in the showed/tub which was a lot of fun for me, cause I just adore being in rubber regardless of the circumstances. hehe And Renee really does do such beautiful bathtub portraits! I can't wait to get more edits. <3
