Things have been pretty tame around here the last little while. Not much to report.
The snow/ice near my place turned Bow Trail into a war zone for vehicles and it's a wonder anyone made it home. Actually my mom and grandma had been out shopping during the day and wound up with my grandma spending the night at my parents place because the trek to get her home would of been too scary and just not worth it. And they have a 4x4. The extent of which we went out was to Safeway to pick up some essentials.
But all danger aside the first sheer covering of ice always brings back some really vivid memories as a child. We lived on a really quiet crescent and we used to play on the ice and slide across the road to the park. and for some reason that sensation of gliding almost out of control has lingered with me for the longest time. Gets me all exhilarated and tingle-y. So needless to say our adventure yesterday to Safeway was a blast cause I had a HUGE open parking lot to slide around in with glee. hehe
I'm not looking forward to the blustery snowy weather ahead but I'm not particularily deading it like I normally do. I'm stuck with this odd complacency about it all. We have a car now - which is nice, but I'm still without my license and that sucks cause I still need to bus it when J isn't around. :( And busses with strollers don't work out so well. Not that any of that will matter cause I'm such a hermit anyways.
