FUCK YOU YOU FUCKING FUCKS!
Why do you have to make everything so hard!
Nothing seems very clear, and from what I've been reading most people are unclear as to what all this new law includes. I realize I'm not in a position to get in trouble regarding 2257 since I'm Canadian and Canada rocks... but I can't in good conscious do shoots that may eventually get the photographer in trouble for not having the proper documentation from our shoot. And all it is, is that I don't have US identification. My Canadian id is valid, if we're shooting off of American soil. Which doesn't solve the problem unless people decide to come visit me here in the land of the free. :P
This seriously effects my plans for a road trip to LA this summer. Which means I may be able to go on a trip to the east and hit up the Montreal Fetish Weekend in Sept, but I would really like to be able to do both trips! I am so incredibly not ready to stop shooting with people in the states, there are just way too many incredible artists. I've started looking into visas, but they are such a pain to get and I can only imagine how hard they would be to get during a recession. From what I've read it's not impossible, but it takes a lot of time, effort and either support from a 'job' in the states or having some sort of published acclaim for how awesome you are at what you do.
I suppose I should stop reading junk forums and just talk to my US attorney buddy and figure out his thoughts on all this bullshit. hmmm
Time for a beer and some dancy music.
