writters block

I haven't felt like writing much of anything lately. Partially cause it's best not to show the world your dirty laundry & I don't like passive aggressive means of dealing with situations. And writing certain things here knowing who all reads this would be passive aggressive in nature.

My recent forays into the Calgary model/photographers scene leaves little to be desired. Not much has changed in the 2 years I've been in hiding, and I doubt much will change in years to come. People have really been showing their true colors lately, and it's been interesting to watch how we all interact. I've never played well with others, but the people I do get along with are true friends. I'm really glad to have met and reconnected with some of the these special people.

Everything lately has just reinforced how lucky I am that I have such artistic, caring and brilliant friends and an incredible lover to support me. Sometimes I forget that not everyone has such great people around them, and it's something I think sometimes it's easy to take for granted. Cause my friends are the greatest, new and old. So even though the scene hasn't changed and it can be frustrating at times, there is a really strong undercurrent of exceptional people.

I love reading your blog. It's fun and interesting and real. it sounds like some of your trips last year netted some great photo results.. i'll be back in canada soon and hopefully getting more active on Zivity so maybe I can check out some stuff over there.

I may be in calgary for the japanese fet thing.. will i see you there?

Hey! Sorry I'm terribly tardy at remembering messages.

Zivity is an interesting thing to watch from the sidelines. There isn't much money to be made sadly, their business principle echos the 'why buy the cow if you get the milk for free?'.. but there are some great people on there. I'd shoot for it again, but only for exposure with kick ass people.

I was thinking about going to the show, but we decided to have a night in rather than go out. Kinda hermits.

How long have you been out of town? Were you on any awesome adventures?
